Abstract

The invention relates to a method and a thermoforming packaging machine for packaging products. The base film is conveyed in a timed manner using the conveyor (13) along the transport direction (T) towards the forming station (5), towards the loading path (7), further towards the sealing station (9) and further towards the cutting station (11) (17). In the forming station (5) packaging grooves are formed in the base film (17) by thermoforming. In the loading path (7) the packing slots are filled with products (23). In the sealing station (9) the filled packaging slot is sealed by sealingly connecting the top film (25) to the base film (17). In the cutting station ( 11 ), the packaging slots to be filled from the film assembly are cut out. A centering hole (33) is formed in the base film (17) at a position defined relative to the packaging groove, and the base film (17) is aligned by engaging at least one centering pin (41) into the centering hole (33).
