The method comprises the steps that release of an impulse source is conducted at a potential leakage source position, and a corresponding response matrix is obtained; according to concentration sensors in a utility tunnel cabin, fedback values can be monitored in real time; and in the combination of a regularization method and a Bayesianprobability model, the intensity and the position of the leakage source are calculated. By means of the method, arrangement can be quickly conducted, the position of the leakage source of the utilitytunnel gas pipeline is accurately inversely estimated, it is of great significance to safety engineering, and the method can be extended to identification of pollution source of an interior space.
