Abstract

The invention provides a coding mode determination method and device, and relates to the field of computer coding. The method comprises the steps: respectively obtaining a first parameter, a second parameter and a third parameter; wherein the first parameter is used for identifying bandwidth, the second parameter is used for identifying transmission rate, and the third parameter is used for identifying code flow; according to the first parameter, the second parameter and the third parameter, calculating a weight coefficient according to a preset algorithm; obtaining a current coding mode, querying a preset table according to the weight coefficient and the current coding mode, and determining a target coding mode of a to-be-coded image frame, the coding format of the to-be-coded image framebeing a YUV plane format; wherein the preset table stores a corresponding relationship among a current coding mode, a weight coefficient and a target coding mode.
