Abstract

The invention provides a switching method, a base station and a terminal and belongs to the technical field of wireless communications. The switching method applied to a first base station comprises:a switching request sent by a second base station is received, wherein the switching request carries information of at least two beams of the first base station; layer 2 measurement is carried out onthe at least two beams to obtain a measurement result, and the measurement result comprises at least one of the following: beam granularity physical resource block PRB utilization rate distribution, the PRB utilization rate of a single data type of beam granularity and the total PRB utilization rate of the beam granularity; a switching response is sent to the second base station according to the measurement result, so that the second base station determines a target beam accessed by the terminal from the at least two beams according to the switching response. By means of the mode, the load ofthe obtained wave beam is accurate, the optimal wave beam can be selected for the terminal, and therefore the wave beam can provide enough service guarantee for the terminal.
