Abstract

A scanning unit (20) has a plurality of reflective surfaces that reflect light that is incident from a light projection unit (10), and causes the reflective surfaces to rotate relative to a preset rotation axis, thereby causing the emission direction of the light that is incident from the light projection unit to change along a main scanning direction orthogonal to the axial direction of the rotation axis. The scanning unit reflects reflection light from an obstacle present in a scanning range for reflecting scanned light, and guides the reflection light to a light-receiving unit (30). All ofthe plurality of reflective surfaces provided to the scanning unit are disposed parallel to the axial direction of the rotation axis.
