Abstract

The present disclosure relates to an apparatus and method for processing a conditional access system-based content. Specifically, an operation method of a broadcast reception apparatus comprises the steps of: receiving a broadcast stream including a content encrypted on the basis of a conditional access system (CAS); extracting, from the received broadcast stream, CAS information for decrypting the encrypted content; receiving an entitlement control message (ECM) having a preconfigured format, on the basis of the CAS information having been generated in different formats according to broadcastservice providers; and displaying the content decrypted on the basis of the ECM.
