Abstract

The invention provides a reversible data hiding method and system based on double images, and the method comprises the steps: obtaining a novel turtle shell magic matrix in a mode of adding 8 to the element values of turtle back points on the basis of an original turtle shell magic matrix, enlarging the range of the element values in the matrix, increasing the hiding amount of secret data hidden by the matrix. Meanwhile, a novel reversible hiding algorithm is invented, secret data are converted into hexadecimal numbers to be hidden in the novel turtle shell magic matrix, and secret images corresponding in pairs are obtained; in the secret data extraction stage, a corresponding data extraction rule is formulated according to a novel reversible hiding algorithm to extract secret data, and anoriginal image is recovered. The secret data can be well hidden and the original image can be recovered under the condition that the original image is changed a little, and compared with a traditional data hiding algorithm based on the image, the invention has the advantage that the quality of the hidden image is guaranteed under the condition that the hiding amount is high, so that the secret data can be hidden more safely.
