The method comprises the steps of when an electric vehicle meets a preset state, acquiring the vehicle speed and the vehiclespeed change rate of the electric vehicle; obtaining a first mapping relation among the vehicle speed, the vehicle speed change rate and a sliding energy recovery torque; according to the vehicle speed and the vehicle speed change rate, determining a target sliding energy recovery torque from the first mapping relationship; and performing energy recovery control on the electric vehicle accordingto the target sliding energy recovery torque, wherein the first mapping relation meets the condition that when the vehicle speed change rate is greater than 0, the sliding energy recovery torque is reduced along with the increase of the vehicle speed change rate; and when the speed change rate of the vehicle is less than 0, the sliding energy recovery torque is increased along with the increase ofthe absolute value of the speed change rate of the vehicle.
