Embodiment Construction

[0070] An example of an exemplary embodiment will now be described in detail with reference to an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure. In all of the drawings, the same reference numerals are used to denote the same or similar components as much as possible.

[0071] figure 1 A block diagram showing a system 10 having an electronic device 1 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. The system can have various functions, for example, can be a robot system. For example, system 10 can be movable, such as having a driven wheel, and system 10 can have means for acquiring objects, such as at least one grab. System 10 can be further integrated in vehicle 100 or constitutes a vehicle 100.

Abstract

The invention relates to an electronic device (1) for determining a semantic grid of an environment of a vehicle. The electronic device is configured to: receive first image data of an optical sensor, the first image data comprising a 2D image of the environment, perform a semantic segmentation of the 2D image and project the resulting semantic image into at least one predetermined semantic plane, receive an occupancy grid representing an allocentric bird eye's view of the environment, wherein the control device further comprises: a neural network configured to determine a semantic grid by fusing the occupancy grid with the at least one predetermined semantic plane. The invention further relates to a system and a method.

Description

Technical field [0001] The present disclosure relates to electronic devices, systems, and methods for determining a semantic grid of the vehicle (particularly a single-grade camera) based on a single-grade camera. Background technique [0002] Modern vehicles include object detection algorithms for implementing collision warnings or avoidance and other active safety applications. In particular, autonomous vehicles need to accurately sense and understand their surroundings for safe and successful navigation. The limited ability, blocking, environmental complexity and uncertainty of the sensor make it challenging tasks. [0003] Several types of sensors have been proposed and mixed active and passive sensors. The architecture that is introduced with active sensor (laser radar, radar ...) and passive sensors (cameras, inertial sensors) can improve the perception of the scene. [0004] For example, the passive sensors such as the camera are cheap and provide intensive and rich appear...
