Abstract

The invention relates to a label propagation overlapping community discovery method and system based on random walk. The method comprises the following steps: acquiring importance of each node in a complex network; obtaining a seed node set according to the importance of each node; screening the seed node set according to the number of the public neighbor nodes to obtain an updated seed node set; assigning labels of neighbor nodes of the seed nodes in the updated seed node set to labels corresponding to the seed nodes; enabling each node in the complex network to comprise at least one label through label propagation; repeating the operation of updating the labels of which the label weights are greater than the set weight threshold in the neighbor nodes of the nodes to the corresponding nodes through label propagation until the labels of the nodes do not change any more; dividing communities according to the labels of the nodes, wherein the nodes in each community have the same label; and determining overlapping communities according to the community set.
