Abstract

Provided are a single-crystal X-ray structural analysis device that makes it possible to surely and easily perform single-crystal X-ray structural analysis using a crystal sponge, and a method and a sample holder therefor. The present invention is provided with: an X-ray source that generates X rays; a sample holder 250 that holds a sample; a goniometer that has the sample holder 250 mounted thereon so as to rotate the sample holder 250; an X-ray irradiation unit that irradiates the sample held by the sample holder 250 mounted to the goniometer with X rays from the X-ray source; an X-ray detection measurement unit that detects and measures X rays diffracted or scattered by the sample; a structural analysis unit that performs structural analysis of the sample on the basis of the diffracted or scattered X rays detected by the X-ray detection measurement unit. The sample holder 250 includes a porous complex crystal capable of occluding the sample in a plurality of micropores formed inside. In a state where the sample holder 250 is mounted to the goniometer, the porous complex crystal is fixed to a position of the sample holder 250 where X rays from the X-ray irradiation unit are emitted.
