The method comprises the steps: laying a multi-point pressure sensor in a geometrical shape underwater; synchronously acquiring pressure values of a plurality of pressure points, and converting each pressure value into a water depth value corresponding to each pressure point; and analyzing the pressure difference change of the pressure values at multiple points at the same moment, and judging the wave direction according to the pressure difference change rule. According to the method, the pressure sensor is arranged underwater, and no buoy needs to be arranged on a sea surface, so the safety and the stability of measuring equipment are improved; the pressure sensor is not affected by ocean current, wind, an anchor system and other environments, and the problem of measurement wave direction distortion is not prone to occurring; the problems that a wave buoy is low in use safety and prone to being lost and stolen and to being crashed by a fishing boat are solved; and compared with a wave buoy measurement method in which ships need to be rented every time, the method is lower in use and maintenance cost.
