The invention further relates to a gas leakage monitoring method which uses the gas leakage monitoring system. The method comprises the steps of when the noise volume is within the set gas leakage volume range, triggering the first timing module to time, when the first set duration reaches, triggering the audio recognition module to start, and when the noise audio is recognized to be within the set gas leakage audio range, triggering the second timing module to time; and when a second set duration reaches, triggering the electric signal converter to transmit a gas leakage signal to the monitoring system.
