Abstract

The invention provides a positioning method applied to a satellite network. Terminal equipment measures broadcast signal blocks sent by at least two satellites in respective planned frequency points and polarization directions to obtain measurement values of the broadcast signal blocks so that the broadcast signal blocks are used as positioning reference signals for positioning. Therefore, the satellite network does not need to broadcast a special positioning reference signal any more. The terminal equipment can realize self passive positioning based on the measurement values of the broadcast signal blocks of the at least two satellites, and the overhead of bandwidth resources can be saved.
