Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a transmission (40), in particular to a transmission (40) for a vehicle. The transmission (40) comprises a first transmission shaft (10), a first gear (11) arranged on the first transmission shaft (10), a first wet clutch (12) and a first synchronizer (13). The first wet clutch (12) and the first synchronizer (13) are configured to selectively drivingly engage the first gear (11) with the first driveshaft (10), and are connected or connectable in series between the first gear (11) and the first driveshaft (10) such that the first gear (11) is driven to rotate only when both the first wet clutch (12) and the first synchronizer (13) are engaged. The first gear (11) is drivingly engaged with the first driveshaft (10) only when the first wet clutch (12) and the first synchronizer (13) are engaged, and such that the first gear (11) is drivingly disengaged from the first driveshaft (10) when either or both of the first wet clutch (12) and the first synchronizer (13) are disengaged. The present disclosure also relates to a driveline comprising the transmission (40) and a method of gear shifting using the transmission (40).
