Abstract

The invention provides a leakage detection device and method. The leak detection device includes a body having at least one fluid input port to receive a leak fluid, at least one discharge port fluidly coupled with a container, and at least one sensor conduit input port fluidly coupled with at least one sensor. The fluid input port is located above the discharge port but below the sensor conduit input port. The body includes an inner conduit fluidly coupled with and extending between the fluid input port, the discharge port, and the sensor conduit input port. The inner conduit includes a lower branch extending below the fluid input port to the discharge port. The inner conduit includes an upper branch in the body that individually extends from above the at least one sensor conduit input port to the at least one discharge port. The lower branch includes a flow reducing portion below the fluid input port and the sensor conduit input port but above the discharge port.
