The invention relates to a dilator and a sheath with an expansion feature. Introducer systems including dilators, sheaths, methods and tools for making dilators and sheaths are disclosed herein. The introducer systems disclosed herein include features that aid expansion of the sheath, particularly at a proximal or distal region of the sheath.
