The invention provides an augmented reality display device, comprising: an optical machine for emitting image light; the at least one layer of optical waveguide lens comprises a coupling-in grating area, an optical waveguide substrate and a turning and coupling-out grating area, and the coupling-in grating area is arranged on the first optical surface of the optical waveguide substrate; the optical waveguide substrate is used for transmitting image light through total reflection; the turning and coupling-out grating region is arranged on the first optical surface of the optical waveguide substrate, receives the total reflection light and couples out the total reflection light; the sum of the coupling-in grating vector and the turning and coupling-out grating vector is not zero, and the coupling-in angle of the optical machine is the same as that of each layer of optical waveguide lens. According to the technical scheme of the invention, under the condition that the optical machine and the optical waveguide lens are not vertically coupled, the central view field of the optical machine is ensured to coincide with the central view field of human eyes, so that the degree of freedom of structural design of the optical machine and the optical waveguide lens is greatly improved; therefore, the structure of the augmented reality display device is diversified, and the manufactured display device is smaller in size.
