Abstract

A converting module realizing the interfacing of two standard interfaces on ATM and physical payers contains two parts: a receiving part which receives cells from the physical layer port to store them in buffer then to send them to ATM layer, and a sending part which fetches cells stored in the buffer from ATM layer and send them to the physical layer port.
