Abstract

To provide a container for an instant food or the like wherein the instant food or the like such as dry noodles or raw noodles represented by instant fried noodles which can be served for eating with hot water poured and discharged, and wherein discharging of the hot water can be done easily, quickly, reliably and safely without trouble. The container for storing an instant food or the like comprises a bottomed container body including a flange on an opening at a side and a lid material 10 which are sealed via a peelable hot bonding portion 2. The lid material 10 is formed with a first tab 3 and a second tab 4 protruding outward from its end rim. A half cut 6 for forming a notch is formed from a side of the container body which extends from one of both feet of the first tab 3 with the end rim of the lid material 10 beyond the hot bonding portion 2 inwardly into the hot bonding portion 2 to form an approximately linear protrusion inside the hot bonding portion 2 and returning beyond the hot bonding portion 2 again to the other foot.
