Embodiment Construction

[0022] Figures 1 and 2 show an elevated train, designated by the numeral 1, which may consist of one or two carriages, which is suspended on a track 2 and moves along it. The track 2 is mounted on a pillar or column 3 of sufficient height so that the train 1 does not hinder vehicles and pedestrians moving on the ground or on the street 4 .

[0023] The column or pillar 3 can be of various types and materials, and the track 2 can also be of various types and materials.

[0024] According to the invention, the track 2 comprises a separate section 5 at the area where the train stops to load and unload passengers, separating this area from the rest of the track 2 by a gap in the transverse direction. The segment 5 is suspended from a structure 6 by means of lifting means formed by hydraulic cylinders 7 .

[0025] Using this lifting device, the section 5 can be moved vertically between an uppermost position shown in FIG. 2 and a lowermost position shown in FIG. section, and at th...

Abstract

The invention relates to an elevated train comprising one or more carriages (1) which are suspended from and move along a rail (2) or similar device. In the train stopping zones, the aforementioned rail is provided with at least two transverse cuts which define a section (5) from which the train remains suspended. Said section (5) is in turn suspended from elevation means (7) which are used to move the section and train together vertically between an upper circulation position and a lower position in which the train rests on or remains close to the ground.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to an elevated train, which is composed of one or more carriages suspended on a track to move, and which is specially used for transporting passengers in cities. Background technique [0002] Elevated trains are a transportation system especially suited for urban traffic because they do not interfere with traffic on the ground. [0003] Elevated trains exist which maintain, during operation and at all times, an approximately constant height above the ground sufficient to allow movement of vehicles and pedestrians beneath their structure. Such a system requires the construction of an elevated platform with corresponding passenger boarding and alighting passages, which will increase the cost of the structure; in addition, the construction of the platform with personnel passages will create obstacles at street level things. [0004] In order to avoid these problems, elevated trains have been developed which consist of one o...
