Abstract

The present invention relates to one improved silver process of producing formaldehyde. Produced gas with relatively high temperature and with heat from waste heat boiler is used as heat source for eliminating alcohol and water from formaldehyde mixture in the first absorption tower, and partial alcohol containing dilute formaldehyde solution is returned from some place in the second absorption tower in the absorption system with gradually lowered temperature to realize the dealcoholization-reutilization circulation. The process is simple, low in methanol consumption, low in investment and reasonable energy utilization, and the produced formaldehyde product has low alcohol content and high concentration.
