Embodiment Construction

[0005] After reading the following applications and referring to the figures, you will have a better understanding of the present invention:

[0006] figure 1 Draw the end of the optical fiber 4, which includes a core 1 and a catheter 2 equipped with a polymer microtip 3. The polymer microtip 3 is made of a photopolymerizable resin material. Its size and geometry can be optimized New physical and chemical parameters, for example, as a function of foreseeing applications, are adjusted.

[0007] According to the first object of the present invention, the operation process of making microtips has good dispersibility for the height value (from several micrometers to hundreds of micrometers) and the radius of curvature of the attached droplets at the beginning of the processing process. The result is that the size of the microtips directly dependent on the formulation droplets can be precisely controlled according to the required application.

[0008] The first step is to make the mi...

Abstract

The invention concerns monomode or multimode optical fibres provided with a lens with an end taper, obtained by selective photopolymerization of a formulation, and with improved performances through the use of novel parameters and technical processes enabling production of polymer tapers with optimised characteristic required for a wide range of applications. The monomode or multimode optical fibres, can, for certain specific applications, be equipped with a metallized polymer taper except for a nanometric opening for sensing or emitting light or a polymer taper whereof the formulation contains fluorescent particles. The novel fibres are essential components in various fields such as telecommunications (high performance connectors) or instrumentation (optical radiation comparator, probes for scanning optical microscopy and near-field optical microscopy).

Description

Technical field [0001] The present invention relates to an optical fiber with a lens end. The first embodiment and application of the inventor’s earlier invention patent application have explained this. The patent application was issued by INPI under the serial number 9814385, and the title is "New lens-ended optical fibres" with a high end numerical aperture. Application to the production of new High Performanceoptoelctronic components (a new type of optical fiber with a high end numerical aperture with a lens end. Application to the production of new high performance optoelectronic components.)". Background technique [0002] The optical fiber with lens end is equipped with transparent polymer micro-tips at both ends of the optical fiber, which can greatly improve the optical connection between the optical fiber itself and between the optical fiber and active or passive components. This makes it possible to make complex and high-performance devices. [0003] However, the optica...
