An apparatus for driving a plurality of data lines coupled to a plurality of pixels includes a gray scale voltage selection circuit, a shift register and an output circuit. The gray scale voltage selection circuit selects one of a plurality of gray scale voltage signals based on image data to output the selected gray scale voltage signal. The shift register sequentially generates enable signals in response to a start signal and shifted clock signals.
