Abstract

The tab terminal for an electrolytic capacitor is obtained by welding an aluminium core havinga flat press part to the end part of a lead wire having a metal layer of tin formed on the surface of the core. The surface at the welded part between the lead wire part and the aluminium core is subjected to a treatment for suppressing growth of whisker.
