Through computer program controlling whole warehouse, manipulator controls magnetic tape to be put in or out of warehouse automatically. A set of bar code detection and recognition system detects magnetic tapes strictly as well as can search data, video or audio programs on magnetic tape. The system can stores each magnetic tapes no mater whether it is audio, video or data magnet tape or in different specifications. Capability of the system can be expanded continuously so as to form large system. Two windows for putting magnetic tape in or out of warehouse are set up in the system: one is for manual operation and the other is for automatic operation. The invention realizes conversion from warehouse of data stream magnetic tapes to warehouse of common magnetic tapes so as to solve issue for storing a great deal audio / video magnetic tapes automatically. The invention is suitable to broadcasting stations and TV stations.
