[0019] A first embodiment will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 4 . In FIG. 1 , reference numeral 1 designates a known type of cooling unit as an air conditioning unit for a vehicle, such as a bus. Meanwhile, reference numeral 2 denotes a heating unit.

[0020] The heating unit 2 is located under the bus floor. The heating unit 2 is composed of a heater core 3 and a heating air duct 4A. One of the heated air ducts 4A is located on the left side of the bus and the other heated air duct 4A is located on the right side of the bus. The heated air duct 4A extends in the longitudinal direction of the bus, that is, in the front-rear direction of the bus. The heater cores 3 are located at longitudinal ends of the heating air ducts 4A, respectively. The heated air duct 4A is further formed with a heated air blowing port 5A.

[0021] The heater core 3 performs heat exchange between the air and engine cooling water (not shown) for running, thereby heating the air. The heat...

[0053] Next, a second embodiment will be described with reference to FIG. 5 . In the second embodiment, the structure of the engaging portion S is different from that of the engaging portion S of the first embodiment. In the second embodiment, parts other than the joining portion S are similar to those of the air conditioning unit of the first embodiment except the joining portion S. As shown in FIG.

[0054] As shown in FIG. 5 , the outer peripheral portion of the first housing 71 has a narrowed shape 71b such that the distance between the first housing 71 and the top 10 decreases toward the outer peripheral end. For example, the outer peripheral end of the first housing 71 may be bent (for example, bent or inclined) toward the top 10 so that the above distance decreases toward the outer peripheral end.

[0055] In this structure, when the air conditioner unit is mounted on the roof 10, the joining material B is less likely to protrude from the joining portion S. As shown in...

[0057] Next, a third embodiment will be described with reference to FIG. 6 . In the third embodiment, the structure of the engaging portion S is different from that of the engaging portion S in the first and second embodiments. In the third embodiment, parts other than the joining portion S are similar to those of the air conditioning unit of the first embodiment except the joining portion S. As shown in FIG.

[0058] As shown in FIG. 6, the outer peripheral portion of the first housing 71 has an expanded shape 71c such that the distance between the first housing 71 and the top 10 increases toward the outer peripheral end. For example, the outer peripheral end of the first housing 71 may be bent (eg, bent or inclined) outward so that the above distance increases toward the outer peripheral end.

[0059] In this structure, since the outer peripheral end portion of the joining portion S has an expanded structure (fillet structure), the joining material B is not so easily separa...

Abstract

Air conditioning unit used in autobuses (1) has a roof (10) on which a condensing unit section (12), a cooling unit section (13) are fitted, and at least a projection (71a) in a connecting component (S) between a housing of said cooling unit section (13) and said roof (10). Said cooling unit section (13) has an evaporator (11) and a fan (15), which are accommodated in said housing (7). The housing (7) is engaged with said roof (10) using connecting material (B). The projection (71a) is provided in a connecting component (S) between the housing (7) and the roof (10) in order to hold a thickness of connecting material (B) to a pre-determined value.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to an air conditioning unit mounted on the roof of a vehicle such as a bus, and, more particularly, the present invention relates to a structure of a joint portion between the air conditioning unit and the roof. Background technique [0002] For example, such a vehicle roof-mounted air conditioning unit is secured to the roof using a bonding material. FIG. 8 shows a partial enlarged view of the joint portion S between the roof 10 of the vehicle and the main casing 7 of the air conditioning unit. The main case 7 is joined to the top 10 with the joining material B. As shown in FIG. If the main case 7 is joined to the top 10 without controlling the gap between the main case 7 and the top 10 to a predetermined gap, the bonding strength will be uneven. Therefore, a spacer 26 may be placed between the main housing 7 and the top 10 to maintain the bonding material B at a predetermined thickness, as is known. The spacer 26 can ...
