Benefits of technology

"The present invention provides an auxiliary pad for a bowling wrist guard that can improve air permeability and comfort for the bowler. The auxiliary pad has a first layer that contacts the bowler's hand-back or wrist, a second layer with elasticity, and a third layer with air permeability. The auxiliary pad can be detachably attached to the wrist and hand-back cushion elements of the bowling wrist guard using hook-and-loop fastener tapes. The first layer is made of a material with excellent perspiration absorption ability, the second layer is made of an active carbon polyurethane sponge with ventilation and perfume ingredients, and the third layer is made of an air mesh with excellent air permeability. The hand-back auxiliary pad has a profile bent in the width and longitudinal directions to closely match the shape of the bowler's hand-back when throwing the bowling ball. The wrist auxiliary pad has a profile bent in a width direction to keep the bowler's wrist fixed to the wrist guard while throwing the bowling ball."

Problems solved by technology

Accordingly, when a bowler directly wears the metal wrist guard on the wrist, the feeling is poor.
In addition, since the bowling wrist guard is not in perfectly close contact with a bowler's wrist or back of the hand, the wrist guard moves when the bowler throws the bowling ball, so that it is impossible to correctly throw the bowling ball.
Accordingly, as the hand profiles of bowler's differ from each other, a bowler's hand-back and wrist part may not perfectly and closely contact the auxiliary pad, so that the bowler cannot consistently throw the bowling ball and wrist guard feeling is poor.
In addition, the auxiliary pad has poor air permeability.
Accordingly, when the bowler wears the bowling wrist guard having the auxiliary pads attached thereto for a long time and sweats, the feeling of the auxiliary pad is deteriorated on account of the sweat.

Embodiment Construction

[0031] Hereinafter, a preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. In the following description of the present invention, a detailed description of known functions and configurations incorporated herein will be omitted when such description would make the subject matter of the present invention unclear.

[0032] Shapes and functions of hand-back and wrist auxiliary pads according to the invention will be first specifically described. The wearing by a bowler of a bowling wrist guard having the hand-back and wrist auxiliary pads attached thereto will then be described.

[0033]FIG. 3 is a plan view of a hand-back auxiliary pad 10 according to a preferred embodiment of the invention. The bowler's hand 11 which is present under a hand-back auxiliary pad 10 is shown with a phantom line.

[0034] Referring to FIG. 3, the hand-back auxiliary pad 10 is detachably attached to a hand-back cushion element 52 (refer to FIG. 9) that is at...

Abstract

The invention relates to an auxiliary pad for a bowling guard wherein surfaces of hand-back and wrist cushion members are formed with a Velcro tape. To the Velcro tape are detachably attached hand-back and wrist auxiliary pads, each of which having a predetermined thickness so as to adjust a bent angle of a wrist and first and second Velcro tapes formed on one surfaces thereof. The other surfaces of the hand-back and wrist auxiliary pads consist of third and fourth Velcro tapes so as to stack and attach another auxiliary pad, so that it is possible to easily adjust the bent angle of the wrist as the thickness of the another auxiliary pad stacked and attached. As a result, it is possible to double a rotary force of a bowling ball and to implement diverse ball-control.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION [0001] 1. Field of the Invention [0002] The present invention relates to an auxiliary pad for a bowling wrist guard, and more particularly to an auxiliary pad detachably attached to a bowling wrist guard and having improved air permeability. [0003] 2. Description of the Prior Art [0004] In general, a bowler wears a bowling wrist guard so as to prevent an injury of a wrist or finger which may occur due to a weight of a bowling ball and to correctly throw the bowling ball according to the bowler's throwing characteristics during bowling. [0005] The bowling wrist guard is mainly made of a metal. [0006] An auxiliary pad f...
