As is known in the art, devices of varying densities and compression levels may be used for different results. In general, the device may be used between a part of the body and the ground, typically for rolling along a portion of the body for stretching or to increase blood flow. Alternatively, the device may be placed under a portion of the body in order to intentionally allow it to move, requiring additional strength in order to hold the body steady and, thus, increasing strength and balance training.

Abstract

An exercise device including vibrating element may be used for various forms of exercise such as strength training, physical therapy, balance training, massage, stretching, yoga, pilates and other exercise. The device includes at least one vibrating motor or other vibration means and a user may control the vibration direction, amplitude and frequency through the use of a control panel disposed on one end of the exercise device.
