Benefits of technology

[0005]In view of the foregoing disadvantages inherent in the known types of fire starting kits now present in the prior art, the present invention provides a combustible fire starting kit wherein the same can be utilized for providing convenience for the user when wishing to easily construct a fire. The present system comprises a rectangular base frame having four side members and an aperture placed along an exterior wall. A bottom layer and a top layer is secured to the base frame, each layer comprising a plurality of parallel slats secured to the base frame at regular intervals. The side members, top layer and bottom layer form an interior volume where kindling material may be placed. Vertical side support members are secured to the base frame in order to contain fuel for a fire therein. A wick is placed in the aperture, extending from the interior volume to beyond the exterior wall of the base frame. The base frame, top and bottom layers, and side support members comprise combustible material, allowing a user to stack a load of fuel to burn along with the combustible fire starting kit.

Problems solved by technology

However, it can be cumbersome to build a proper fire, as the logs must be stacked in a manner to allow for sufficient airflow as well as have enough space to place kindling material underneath.
While fire starting frames are available, these can be unwieldy to travel with, as they are often heavy and require skill and patience to construct.

Embodiment Construction

[0015]Reference is made herein to the attached drawings. Like reference numerals are used throughout the drawings to depict like or similar elements of the combustible fire starting kit. The figures are intended for representative purposes only and should not be considered to be limiting in any respect.

[0016]Referring now to FIG. 1, there is shown a perspective view of the combustible fire starting kit. The combustible fire starting kit 10 comprises a base frame 11 having side members 12, 13 forming a rectangular shape with an aperture 26 disposed along an exterior wall. One or more top layers 16, 18, 20 of a plurality of parallel slats are secured to a top surface of the base frame 11 at regular intervals, and a bottom layer 14 of a plurality of parallel slats is secured to a bottom surface of the base frame 11 and spaced apart at regular intervals. A plurality of vertically positioned support members 22 are secured at a bottom end 23 thereof to the exterior wall of the side member...

Abstract

A combustible fire starting kit for conveniently stacking and burning fuel. The combustible fire starting kit includes a rectangular base frame having four side members and an aperture placed along an exterior wall. A bottom layer and a top layer are secured to the base frame, each layer having a plurality of parallel slats positioned at regular intervals. The side members, top layer and bottom layer form an interior volume where kindling material is placed. Vertical side support members are secured to the base frame in order allow for easy stacking of fuel. A wick is placed in the aperture, extending from the interior volume to beyond the exterior wall of the base frame. The base frame, top and bottom layers, and side support members are made from combustible material, allowing a user to burn the combustible fire starting kit along with the fuel.

Description

CROSS REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS[0001]This application claims the benefit of U.S. Provisional Application No. 62 / 302,898 filed on Mar. 3, 2016. The above identified patent application is herein incorporated by reference in its entirety to provide continuity of disclosure.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION[0002]The present invention relates to fire starter kits. More specifically, the present invention relates to fire starter kits that are made from combustible material and can be used to easily start a fire.[0003]The ability to start a fire easily in an outdoor location is desired by outdoor enthusiasts, campers, and many other individuals seeking recreational enjoyment in cooler weather. However, it can be cumbersome to build a proper fire, as the logs must be stacked in a manner to allow for sufficient airflow as well as have enough space to place kindling material underneath.[0004]While fire starting frames are available, these can be unwieldy to travel with, as they are often he...
