Benefits of technology

The invention is a swimming head cap made of an inner layer with an elastic band and an outer layer of elastically deformable material. The inner layer is made of silicone, polyurethane, or acrylic, and the outer layer is made of nylon or spandex blend, polyester or spandex blend, cotton or spandex blend, or regenerative fiber and spandex blend. This material composition makes the cap easier to wear and prevents pain when it is removed. Additionally, the inner layer can be made of elastically deformable material to provide a better fit and stretch.

Problems solved by technology

It is this tight fit that both protects the user's hair by preventing water from seeping in, but also creates painful pulling of the user's hair upon removal.
Although these head caps achieve their intended purpose, they cost the user considerable physical pain in the process.

Embodiment Construction

[0024]While the specification concludes with claims defining the features of the invention that are regarded as novel, it is believed that the invention will be better understood from a consideration of the following description in conjunction with the drawing figures, in which like reference numerals are carried forward. It is to be understood that the disclosed embodiments are merely exemplary of the invention, which can be embodied in various forms.

[0025]The present invention provides a novel and efficient swimming head cap of a material composition that prevents the painful pulling or tugging of a user's hair and scalp upon removal. In contrast to existing swimming head caps, the present invention achieves its intended function, e.g. providing a watertight seal that prevents water from seeping in and wetting the user's hair, while also sparing the user considerable physical pain and discomfort when the user removes the swimming head cap.

Abstract

The present invention provides for a swimming head cap that is effectively and efficiently configured to couple with a user's head in a substantially watertight configuration unlike any known swimming head cap, while substantially maintaining the integrity of a user's hair disposed within the swimming head cap. The swimming head cap is defined by an inner layer comprising an annular shaped elastic band and an outer layer of an elastically deformable material. The material composition of the inner layer and the outer layer facilitates an easy and convenient removal process wherein no part of the swimming head cap painfully pulls or tugs the user's hair and scalp upon removal of the swimming head cap from the user's head.

Description

CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION[0001]This application claims priority to pending U.S. Provisional Patent Application No. 62 / 818,708, filed Mar. 14, 2019, the entirety of which is incorporated by reference.FIELD OF THE INVENTION[0002]The present invention relates generally to swimming head caps, and, more particularly, relates to a swimming head cap configured to avoid pulling a user's hair and skin during removal.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION[0003]The consumer marketplace features a large variety of swimming head caps with watertight configurations designed to keep a user's hair dry when said user is swimming in a body of water. The goal of such swimming head caps is to prevent water from seeping through the swimming head cap, which is typically accomplished by use of a latex or silicone material composition. The tension generated when a user stretches the swimming head cap over their scalp ensures a very tight fit over the scalp. It is this tight fit that both protects the use...
