The method includes following steps. (1) Determining central coordinate of each subzone in activation set. (2) Making out straight lines perpendicular to connecting lines between center of reference subzone and each center of adjacent subzones as well as passing through center of reference subzone, and areas enclosed by said straight lines and borderline of the reference subzone are selected as direction areas, if the said enclosed areas are near to adjacent subzones. (3) Based on positioning method, positioning result of UE in reference subzone is obtained. (4) Superposed areas between direction areas obtained from step (2) and positioning result obtained from step (3) are as final positioning result for UE. Comparing with prior art, the invention raises precision of positioning UE, simple without complex calculation, and not affecting time for obtaining result by using RNC.
