The invention also discloses a BIOS on-line upgrading method, comprising the steps of: if there is a new version BIOS program, judging the extended BIOS programs in the flash memories are valid: if valid, selecting the lower-version BIOS programs for upgrading; otherwise selecting arbitrary invalid BIOS programs for upgrading. Because of the two latest version BIOS programs, even if the on-line upgrading fails, it will normally start up the communication equipment.
