Abstract

A method, system and receiver for detecting bit boundaries in a received signal. The invention defines the bit boundary of the received signal by setting a counter. Since the state transition of the received signal only occurs on the bit boundary, the transition of the received signal can be detected and compared with the value of the counter. When a predetermined number of transitions are aligned with a bit boundary, the bit boundary is identified and used as a basis for subsequent decoding.
