Abstract

The invention discloses a sound-absorbing blanket for industrial machines and a noise attenuation method. The acoustic blanket comprises: a plurality of flexible pads, wherein each pad includes at least one layer of fiberglass material; an outer cover of a chemically resistant material; and connecting means for connecting the pads to adjacent pads , each of the plurality of flexible cushions is respectively assigned to a location on the blanket corresponding to a location on the industrial machine.
