A power cut compensation method for a laundry machine involves: (a) detecting a power cut by establishing whether an impulse generated by an AC current is is or is not interrupted for a predetermined time; (b) storing compensation data regarding information about the condition of the machine when a power cut occurs; and (c) operating the machine according to stored compensation data when current is restored. A power cut compensation method for a laundry machine, having a computer for storing machine operations and an interface with a communicator for carrying out washing and drying operation(s), receiving input information from the computer and sequences allowed by the input data and carrying out operations according to the selected sequences, involves: (a) detecting a power cut by establishing whether an impulse generated by an AC current is is or is not interrupted for a predetermined time; (b) storing compensation data containing information about the condition of the machine when a power cut occurs; and (c) operating the machine according to stored compensation data when current is restored. An independent claim is included for a commercial laundry machine, having an interface for communicating stored information with a computer corresponding to the particular machine; and an operating console for controlling machine operations according to information communicated from the interface, storing compensation data containing information about the condition of the machine when a power cut occurs and operating the machine according to the compensation data.
