Embodiment Construction

[0023] 1 to 4 show a seat according to the invention, which can be used here as a vehicle seat 1 for automobiles, aircraft or the like. The vehicle seat 1 has a seat body 2 with a seat surface 3 and a backrest 4 on the upper side thereof. Two vibrating devices 5 are provided in the seat main body 2, and they serve to apply vibrations to the thighs of a person P sitting on the seat. The vibrating devices 5 each have an elongated plate 6 which is suspended by means of leaf springs 8 from a frame or housing 7 of the vibrating device 5 and which has a gel layer 9 on its upper side facing the seat surface 3 .

[0024] The vibration generator is placed in the casing 7 so as to make the vibration plate 6 vibrate. This vibration generator comprises a vibrating solid body 10, which is supported on the housing 7 with a spring 11 and is movably guided on a guide pin 12 which passes through the spring 11 and is transverse to the plane of the vibrating plate 6, That is, it is movable tow...

Abstract

The method involves injecting vibrations in-situ manner by vibration devices (5) in an area e.g. thigh, head, shoulder, pelvis and heel, of a body of a person, where the devices have vibration plates and are arranged below sitting and lying areas of a vehicle. The plates are activated in opposite direction and are shifted into oscillations. The oscillations are produced in cyclic manner and persist up to thirty seconds. An independent claim is also included for a sitting or lying furniture.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a method of improving blood supply in a sitting or lying down person. Furthermore, the invention also relates to a seat or bedding for carrying out such a method. Background technique [0002] Prolonged travel by car, bus, or plane often results in insufficient blood flow to the legs, and this leads to so-called blood stagnation. The reason for this phenomenon is that almost the entire body weight of the seated person bears on the thighs, and as a result, the skin tissue and blood vessels of the thigh area in contact with the vehicle seat are subjected to great pressure, which prevents further blood circulation. As a result, a feeling of numbness develops in the legs, and for long flights there is even a risk of embolism. [0003] The same problem occurs with bedridden people. As a result of prolonged bed rest, wounds (decubitus sores) develop in the typical support areas, namely the shoulder blades and pelvis, as we...
