Abstract

A portable folding table includes a first half (230) of the table top and a second half pivotally connected to the second half. The first and second halves of the desktop are movable between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the two halves are aligned in a plane, and in the second position, the two halves are in close proximity to each other. The first part (230) and second part (232) of the table top are ideally made by blow molding and each half has a hollow interior. The first and second halves of the table top include interlocks (234) that are connected to each other when the halves are in the connected position. Ideally, the interlock (234) has a hollow interior which is integrally formed in the blow molding process with the hollow interiors of the table top halves. The table top also includes one or more overlapping portions (236) where the two halves of the table top are in a connected position and the overlapping portions are connected to each other. The lap portion (236) also has a hollow interior which is integrally formed in the blow molding process with the hollow interiors of the table top halves.
