Abstract

The invention discloses a method for a telomere repeat amplification protocol (Trap) based on a simple network management protocol (SNMP), which comprises the following steps: (a) an SNMP agent adds key words on whether the Trap needs to be confirmed or not in a group name of a Trap message, sends the Trap message to an SNMP supervisor by a standard transmission flow of SNMP Trap; (b) the SNMP supervisor, after receiving the Trap message, checks whether key words of the Trap needed to be confirmed are obtained in a string for the group name of the Trap. If key words of the Trap which need to be confirmed are obtained in the string for the group name of the Trap, the supervisor needs to set up a variable value of management information base in the SNMP agent; and (c) the SNMP agent detects correctness of the setting of the management information base variable, deems that the SNMP supervisor confirms receipt of the Trap message, then the transmission flow of the Trap is completed. The method saves the cost on increasing the alarming reliability in a network management system, and increases the reliability of the Trap message receiving largely.
