Abstract

The invention relates to a fast robust registration method of an aerial photography traffic video. The steps of the invention are that: (1) the feature points of input images comprising reference images and current frame images are extracted; (2) according to description operators of the feature points, the feature points are matched to generate the candidate congregation of matching point pairs;(3) based on the transformation parameters of a historical frame and the motion parameters of a space-based platform which can be obtained, the motion parameters of a camera are predicted; (4) based on the estimation of a motion module, foreign points in the candidate congregation of the matching point pairs are removed by a robust estimator, thus obtaining a congregation with correct matching point pairs which is used for counting the transformation model of the current frame; (5) by the congruent relationship of the position of the matching point pairs, a registration transformation model of the current fame are solved; meanwhile, the solved parameters are input into the estimation of the motion module; (6) according to the solved transformation model of the current frame, the current frame is transformed, then the interpolation is done, thus obtaining the registration output images of the current frame. The fast robust registration method of the invention can effectively remove theforeign points in the matching of the feature points quickly, thus realizing the fast and correct registration for the aerial photography traffic video.
