Abstract

The invention relates to an automatic book returning box and a method thereof. The automatic book returning box is specially designed for automatic operation of book returning management in libraries and is an automatic mechanical transmission device with the functions of electrical scanning and database management. The automatic book returning box mainly comprises a transmission facility, a bar code scanner, a page-turning device which is arranged in a scanning area and consists of a mechanical pushing hand, a trigger switch, a mechanical pawl and a suction cup, and various storage areas which consist of a rotating transmission disk and a sensor. The invention is the automatic book returning box without manual operation; after readers return the books, all processes are finished automatically by an internal system thereof, thus being capable of providing book-returning service without time limit for the readers, greatly reducing the workload of staffs in the libraries and improving the efficiency of book management.
