Embodiment Construction

[0056] The chemical structures of the antioxidants contained in the preparation formulations are described below and the results of studies are provided to support the antioxidant capacity of the claimed compositions.

[0057] The combination of several types of water-soluble and fat-soluble antioxidants in formulations can have unexpected results, for example it can lead to increased lipid peroxidation. This is related to whether the interactions between antioxidants may be synergistic (ie, they mutually enhance their effects) or competitive (ie, they mutually inhibit their effects).

[0058] The compositions of the present invention represent the most effective mixture, ie, the mixture most capable of inhibiting the peroxidation of phospholipids in liposomal form.

[0059] The invention can be illustrated by the following examples:

Abstract

The invention relates to medicine and pharmacology, in particular to liposomal composition of antioxidants suitable for inhalations during lung and upper respiratory tract diseases. The inventive antioxidant composition for inhalations of lungs and upper respiratory tracts is embodied in the form of an emulsion of phospholipides in the form of liposomes, the mean size of the particles of which ranges from 0.2 to 0.4 mkm, wherein dihydroquercitin flavonoid and wheat-germ oil, containing hydrophobic tocopherol antioxidants (vitamin E) and carotinoids, are incorporated in the membranes of said particles and the aqueous phase of the emulsion contains potassium chloride and antioxidants in the form of a cevitamic acid (vitamin C), N-acetyl, L-cystein and potassium bensoate. Said antioxidant composition is selected taking into account the possibility of introducing minimum doses of individual vitamins in such a way that the content of an active unoxidised form of antioxidants is not reduced during storage.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to medicine and pharmacology, and in particular to the production of liposomal compositions useful in lung and upper respiratory diseases. Background technique [0002] In general, peroxidation of phospholipids of biological membranes occurs slowly because several systems in the tissue protect against oxidation and regulate the oxidation process. One of these systems are small molecule oxidation inhibitors, ie antioxidants. In the lung, ascorbic acid, uric acid, lipoic acid, glutathione and its precursor cysteine function as water-soluble antioxidants, while vitamin E, vitamin A and its provitamin procarotene are present as hydrophobic antioxidants[ B.C.Schock, I.S.Young, V.Browb, P.S.Fitch, M.D.Shields, M.Ennis, Antioxidant and oxidative stress in BAL fluid of a topical children, Pediatr.Res.2003.53(3); 375-381]. [0003] During the development of various pathologies, antioxidant protection has been shown to be insuff...
