Abstract

The invention provides a method and an apparatus for achieving the display of patched high definition base image by using a U disk or / and a flash memory. According to the method, an image decoding module receives external input signals which are output to an image zooming module after being decoded. Then the decoded signals are transmitted to an image overlaying module to be overlaid with image signals read by a U disk controller or a flash memory controller. The overlaid images are output as video signals by an image output module, wherein the physical resolution of the video signals is the same with that of the display. The apparatus comprises the image decoding module, the image zooming module, the U disk controller or the flash memory controller, the image overlaying module and the image output module. A mainboard control unit is connected with a microcontroller through a control bus interface. By adopting the U disk controller or the flash memory controller, the apparatus resolves the display problem of high-definition base images, thereby achieving perfect patching for the high-definition base images.
