Abstract

The present invention discloses a driving circuit and a driving method thereof, and especially relates to the circuit used for driving a plurality of light emitting diodes and the method thereof, wherein the method comprises the following steps: interconnecting the plurality of light emitting diodes in series; connecting each switch in the plurality of switches with a corresponding light emitting diode in the light emitting diodes in parallel for singly controlling the brightness of the corresponding light emitting diode; controlling each switch with a burst mode modulating signal for controlling the electric energy transmitted to the corrersponding light emitting diode; switching on and off the control switch which is connected with the plurality of light emitting diodes in series for controlling the brightness of the plurality of light emitting diodes; and adjusting the current which flows through each light emitting diode of the plurality of light emitting diodes from zero to a preset value. The driving cirucuit and the driving method according to the invention can regulate the brightness of each light emitting diode to a prest value and simultaneously reduces the power loss. The driving circuit and the driving method according to the invention can reduce the power loss of the circuit.
