Abstract

The invention relates to a self-description realization method of an IEC61850 standard, belonging to the application field of the international substation communication network and system standard (IEC61850) to a substation automation system and solving the defects of ambiguous description, heavy workload, and the like existing in the prior art. The method comprises the steps: (1) obtaining capability self-description files of various devices from the devices of the substation; (2) systematically configuring, treating various signal descriptions of the substation according to the capability self-description files of the devices and a system scale description file and generating a substation configuration description file uniform in the whole substation; and (3) downloading the uniform substation configuration description file to the devices. The invention unifies the signal description of the devices, can definitely identify all signals, lightens the workload and facilitates the practical application of the IEC61850 standard.
