Abstract

The invention relates to a water-blocking yarn releasing device for an optical cable and a yarn releasing method thereof. The device comprises a compression nut, a compression spring, gland dies, end part baffle rings, support rods, a yarn barrel seat and a yarn releasing shaft, wherein the yarn releasing shaft and the two support rods are fixed on the yarn barrel seat in an eudipleural mode, thetwo support rods at the left side and the right side are symmetrically arranged at both sides of the yarn releasing shaft, the end part baffle ring is arranged at the extension end part of the yarn releasing shaft, the end parts of the two support rods extending from each side are connected with the gland die in a penetrating way, the compression spring and the compression nut are arranged at theouter side end of the support rod which is connected with the gland die in the penetrating way, and the compression nut is screwed to press the compression spring, thereby causing the gland dies to be tightly support against the end part baffle ring at the corresponding side. The yarn releasing method of the device comprises the following steps: installing a water-blocking yarn coil on the yarn releasing shaft; causing a tensile body to penetrate through the yarn releasing shaft; regulating the tension of water-blocking yarns; starting corresponding production equipment; moving the tensile body to drive the water-blocking yarns to ensure that the water-blocking yarns are uniformly and spirally wound at the periphery of the tensile body. The method has the advantages that the water-blocking yarns at the circumferential direction of the tensile body are uniformly distributed and have favorable water blocking effect.
