The battery pack has a low part count, consisting only of end plates and bi-plates, as well as appropriate assemblies of electrodes, separators and electrolytes, and seals. A battery pack of the desired voltage is constructed by stacking the required number of bi-plates. As the battery pack is stacked, an electrical connection between the cells is created because each bi-plate is conductive and unaffected by the electrolyte.
