Embodiment Construction

[0020] exist figure 1 In , a frame 10 of rectangular design is shown, inside which the mechanism of the invention is mounted. The frame 10 is a large cabinet, once the mesh or support plane 12 is placed in the lowest resting position ( figure 2 ), the cabinet can then be used to accommodate objects in the compartment VN below the net 12 . The following components of the mechanism may be mounted on both sides of the bed, or, for a less costly variant, on only one side of the bed. The side not equipped with mechanism parts can be fitted with a known passive servomechanism (spring operated).

[0021] The mechanism of the invention consists of two articulated sections 16, 20, which are arranged approximately parallel to each other and are hinged at their ends to the net 12 via angle brackets 22 and to a hinge fixed inside the frame 10. Plate 14.

[0022] The section 16 is preferably constituted by a linear actuator with a linearly movable piston 30 (but this section could als...

Abstract

An articulated mechanism is described that allows to lift a net of a bed, or in general a support plane (12) for a mattress, to a certain height from ground and/or in respect of a frame (10). In orderto help lifting the frame without effort, the mechanism comprises two substantially parallel segments (16, 18) each hinged at their extremity to a side of the frame and at the other extremity to thesupport plane so as to constitute as a whole an articulated parallelogram; and motor means (16, 20) adapted to push the two segments making them rotate around the hinging points on the frame, therebylifting the frame.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a hinge mechanism for a bed. This mechanism allows raising the net or, in general, the support plane for the mattress to a certain height from the ground and / or relative to the containing frame. Background technique [0002] Mechanisms are known for raising the net or slats of a bed to allow comfortable access to the space below for normal household cleaning duties. In addition, beds are known that have a containment cabinet / frame above which a net can be raised in order to utilize the interior space of the cabinet as a general storage space. [0003] Clearly, there is a need for a lifting mechanism that is both simple (low cost) to manufacture and not difficult to operate. The web or slats are lifted manually and to reduce the effort required it is common to have mechanisms with various arrangements of gas springs or coil springs that servo-assist the lifting motion. [0004] However, there are certain drawbacks in ...
