The invention relates to an environment-friendly snow melt agent. The snow melt agent uses anhydrous calcium chloride as a main component, contains various additives such as sodium citrate, sodium dihydrogen phosphate or disodium hydrogen phosphate, sodium metasilicate and urea, and also contains abscisic acid or indolylacetic acid or a mixture thereof, sodium tartrate, humic acid and salt thereof. The snow melt agent can effectively reduce corrosivity to metal objects and concrete structures, and effectively improve salinization resistance of seeds, plants and soil. The snow melt agent can quickly melt accumulated snow or ice due to snowstorms when temperature drops to minus 25 DEG C or even minus 50 DEG C in serious cold areas with a small amount and good effect. The invention further provides a use method of the snow melt agent. In the method, the main component and various additives are kept separately without preparing a finished snow melt agent in advance, and combined on site before use. The method can help prevent the problems of dampness, hardening and the like during storage and transport of the finished snow melt agent, and the defects of high temperature energy consumption and possible additive decomposition during the preparation of compound granules (for example, coating and pelleting).
