The invention discloses a multi-parameter patient monitor connected with a breathing machine, comprising a multi-parameter patient monitor and the breathing machine which are electrically connected with each other by data communication interfaces (such as a RS232 interface, a USB interface, a wireless interface and the like); the multi-parameter patient monitor is used for inputting adjusting and controlling signals of working parameters into the breathing machine; the breathing machine is used for inputting the working parameters into the multi-parameter patient monitor; and all or part working parameters are displayed by the multi-parameter patient monitor. The multi-parameter patient monitor also can be used for detecting, adjusting, controlling and displaying the working parameters of the breathing machine, and directly setting the working parameters of the breathing machine according to the vital sign of the patients, thus integrating breath monitoring, control of the breathing machine and other physiologic parameters (such as heart monitoring), greatly reducing the volume of the breathing machine, and being made into a portable breathing machine so as to be convenient for carrying.
